Regardless of the nature of the retraining, time, patience, perseverance and consistency are the prime factors in developing new habits and training the body in new pathways. “This body awareness relies on receptors in your joints, muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue.     They pick up information as muscles bend and stretch as well as when your body is still.” [1] Proprioceptors. “Proprioception: from Latin proprius, meaning "one's own", "individual" and perception, is the sense of the relative position of neighbouring parts of the body and strength of effort being employed in movement.” [2] 

“Posture and muscle relaxation training have been shown to significantly increase visual acuity, visual field, and hearing acuity (Konno, 1997).
